How to choose an antidetect browser

Choose an antidetect browser by testing the profiles, proxies and account workflows you actually use. Start with the accounts you manage, the computers you work on and the people who need access. WGBrowser supports Windows and Apple silicon Macs, with separate browser profiles, proxy settings, cloud sync and automation interfaces to evaluate against those requirements.

Use a profile outside critical daily work for your first trial. Record what happens when you create it, sign in, close it and reopen it. Then test switching computers, handing work to a team member or connecting an existing script, depending on your needs. Keep the same checklist when you compare products.

Fingerprint configuration and consistency

Check how the product implements fingerprint settings and which parameters you can configure. An engine implementation and a script that changes page API results are different approaches. A fingerprint test shows the values available to that page; a score alone does not establish how those values were produced.

WGBrowser changes fingerprint parameters inside its browser engine. Its device templates include Windows 10, Windows 11 and Apple silicon Macs, with stable noise options for Canvas, audio and ClientRects. Save a profile, close it, reopen it and compare the configured UA, Client Hints, graphics, fonts and screen values. Follow the fingerprint testing guide. Fingerprint edits take effect after the profile restarts.

Proxy authentication and exit IP

Test a proxy you intend to use, including its authentication details. Compare the detected exit IP and location with your requirements. The provider connection address may differ from the public IP websites see. Check the profile time zone, language and WebRTC settings, then record what the client reports when authentication or the connection fails.

WGBrowser supports HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies. You can bind a proxy to an individual profile, check exits in the proxy library and set time zone, language and location to follow the IP. Proxy sources also support acquiring proxies by region. Complete the proxy setup steps with your own connection before judging support from a protocol list.

Cloud sync and session recovery

Sign in to a website on the first computer, close the profile normally and wait for synchronization. Open that profile on another computer and check the account, tabs and website state. Also check the occupied status while the original computer still has the profile open. A profile name appearing in the list does not establish that its login data has arrived.

WGBrowser syncs cookie changes while the profile runs. Selected storage, including LocalStorage and IndexedDB, uploads as a snapshot after closing. Only one device can open a given profile at a time, and sync can be disabled per profile. Use the cloud sync guide to check timing and included data. Complete any additional verification the website requests.

Team access and permissions

Use a member account to inspect the groups it can see and the actions it can perform. Test creating, editing and exporting profiles, managing proxies and using automation where these are part of the role. Compare the member view with the administrator assignment, then try a handoff by closing the profile and having the next operator open it.

WGBrowser assigns member access by group and provides permissions for profile changes, exports, proxy management and automation. Occupied profiles display usage information. A small team access trial, checked with both administrator and member accounts, gives you evidence about daily access rather than relying on a role name.

Local API, plugins and MCP

Run an existing script through its full task: find a profile, open it, connect to the page, perform the operation and close it. Check profile identifiers, authentication, response fields and error handling. A matching port does not establish that every endpoint your script calls is supported.

WGBrowser provides automation plugins, Local API and MCP. Open Settings → Local API and use Turn on Local API to enable the local service, subject to your plan and permissions. Its default port is 54345. Follow the Local API guide for scripts and the MCP guide for AI assistants. Test the allowed actions you need; enabling MCP does not grant every action.

Mac compatibility and plan limits

Confirm the installer supports your hardware, then check pages, typing, proxies and reopening on your daily computer. A Mac device template describes browser parameters; it does not specify which Mac hardware the client supports. When moving a profile between operating systems, also check fonts, media behavior and login state.

WGBrowser provides a Windows client and a native Apple silicon Mac client. The free plan includes 20 profiles and 100 MB of cloud storage. Check plans and pricing for member limits and feature availability. Match storage sync, sharing and automation to your trial requirements before comparing profile allowances.

Migration and maintenance

Inspect an export you can actually obtain from your current tool. Determine whether it contains profile configuration, cookies or fuller browser storage. Import a small sample and check names, groups, proxies, accounts and login state. Record anything you need to fill in manually, along with script changes to identifiers, parameters or connections.

WGBrowser supports field mapping for generic CSV and flat JSON, imports from specified source formats and .fgbx backups of its own profiles. Follow the migration guide with your sample file. Compare the results of the complete trial, including recurring maintenance, when deciding which browser fits your work.

FAQ

What should I look for in an antidetect browser?

Start with your own workflow: separate account sessions, required proxy connections, the computers you use and any team access. Create a trial profile and test login, closing, reopening and recovery. Add a member permission check or a real script run when needed. Use the same recorded checks to compare products.

Can I test an antidetect browser for free?

You can install the standard WGBrowser client and register for the free plan. It includes 20 profiles and 100 MB of cloud storage. Check the current plan details for the particular sharing, storage sync and automation features you need. A trial should test your intended workflow within those limits.

Is a fingerprint test score enough to choose a browser?

A fingerprint test helps inspect the browser and network values visible at that moment. It does not verify session recovery, team permissions or every page you use. Compare saved settings after reopening the same profile, test your own proxy authentication and check real account workflows alongside the fingerprint results.

How do I choose an antidetect browser for Mac?

Confirm both the supported hardware and the installer before testing. WGBrowser supports Macs with Apple silicon. Check page rendering, typing, proxies and cloud sync on your actual computer. If you also use Windows, reopen the same profile there and inspect fonts, media behavior and login state as part of your trial.
